B. KING, Raynham, Mass. 

Owns a fine farm, where he resides, in the Taunton 
River Valley, which he devotes to general farming and 
fruit raising, the latter being his specialty. About 
twelve acres are devoted to the cultivation of peache's, 
in which he has been eminently successful. 

His farm has been in the family name continuously 
since 1680, in which year it came into the possession 
of his ancestors, he being the seventh generation from 
the pioneer. In all, he conducts four large farms, 
which show perceptibly the result of his skillful 

• Mr. King has served acceptably as Chairman of 
the Board of Assessors for several years, and at 
present is Treasurer of the Soule Piano and Organ 
Co., of Brockton, Mass,. — the largest Company of the 
kind in S. E. Mass.

S. D. WILBUR, Raynham, Mass. 

Was born in 1807, in the town of Raynham, and was 
educated in the common schools. He taught school 
for twenty-five years, both in the county and city of 
Taunton and Bridgewater. His residence and farm 
have been in the family name for over one hundred 
years; but have been improved to their modern con- 
dition by the present occupant. 

Mr. Wilbur was married in 1832 to Caroline 
Howland, and had three children born to them, of 
whom one only now lives. Mr. Wilbur has been very 
successful in his business ventures, and now lives at 
the age of 87 years to enjoy the fruits of his labors. 
Mr. Wilbur and wife lived together 59 years, when 
she died, in December, 1891. 



ELISHA WILLIAMS, P. O., Taunton, Mass. 

Was born in Taunton, Mass., in 1817, and resided in 
that city until 1866, when he moved to his present 
residence in the town of Raynham, on a well-improved 
farm, in which he made extensive improvements. He 
is engaged in general farming, and also owns other 
fanning and timber lands. 

Mr. Williams was educated in the Taunton schools. 
He was engaged with his father for many years in the 
manufacture of brick, and was married in 1S46. He 
was town road surveyor for seven years, and has been 
one of the road commissioners for 1893-94.
